Matt rejoins the Board this year as a Director. Mark, Sarah, Kyleigh and Brigette have stayed on as Board members, and we welcome Jaimie, Liam, Katie, Lachlan, Hannah and Prue to the team and look forward to their contributions in making 2010 the most memorable year for the NHJC yet!
A very warm thank you to our outgoing members: Rebecca Wilson (who has taken up the role as Chair of PULSE, our affiliate charity), Dan Sullivan, Sarah McNamara, Kara Treadwell and Elisha Landy. We had such a great time last year and I thank them for all their efforts and commitment to the NHJC.
As Matt mentioned in previous broadcasts, we have been working hard to bring exciting new changes to the NHJC Events Calendar. Last year this included introducing a breakfast forum, bringing back the trivia night (which was a great success!) and not to forget the fantastic Christmas Party for 2009! Over 60 members enjoyed cocktails and canapés at Isobar whilst mixing and making new friends.
2010 will have a similar flavour and we will be sharing more information on our new initiatives at the Launch Party on Friday 26 February at the Brewery. Information will be posted to you early next week. Come down, enjoy a cocktail and some food, and get involved. Mingle with like-minded young business people of Newcastle in this relaxed and informal environment.
I personally had such a great time last year and look forward to a stellar year ahead!
